What is a customs Broker?
All goods and merchandise imported into the U.S. must clear an assortment of compliance requirements enforced by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (C.B.P).
This can range from submitting a customs entry with C.B.P. to submitting cargo for Customs examinations before they can be delivered to their final recipient.
While importers have the legal right to represent themselves in these matters, it is strongly advised by C.B.P. that anyone importing goods retain the services of a Licensed U.S. Customs Broker to process shipments on their behalf.
A Licensed U.S. Customs Broker acts as a knowledgeable attorney for an importer in all matters relating to importing and exporting commodities. We coordinate directly with federal agencies, logistic operators, and the importer to ensure that a shipment makes it from origin to destination as expediently as possible.
Like all Customs Brokers practicing within the United States, American Commercial Transport is fully certified and endorsed by the United States government.
